Absolutely loved our experience and the food was so good. The crunch was amazing and the flavor was phenomenal. We had never had korean fried chicken and it was absolutely delicious. The Cashier was very friendly and asked of we needed help as we had never been in before. The atmosphere was very welcoming. I got the strips with 1/2 spicy and 1/2 soy garlic. The loaded fries were also so so good and crispy. Both flavors were fantastic. Really enjoyed it and will be back.

WOW! This might be the best chicken I’ve had. We got both flavors- loved them both. Even with it being delivered 20 min away, the chicken was still perfectly crispy(how?!).

The chicken wings are great. Simple crispy and tasty. Would go well with ranch dressing imo. Hours should be extended especially for a wing place 9:30 pm is reasonable on the weekends.

First and foremost - this is one of the few places in the DSM metro claiming to have *real* Korean Fried Chicken that seems to be able to deliver on that. I tried Harbinger (also owns Basic Bird- I have not tried yet) a while back and their attemp at "KFC" was a travesty at best. That is a different review for another time though. Wat Dak's chicken is not only GENEROUS sized Drummies (flats are also decent size, but you will know if what I mean when you order the drumsticks) but always fresh, delicious and consistent (I've been there 3 times now). You may have to wait for the chicken but it is absolutely worth it! The flavors of the sauces and breading, the crispy/crunchy texture is perfect. Make sure to ask for gloves if you are eating in house, things will get messy! (This is a good thing). Important detail that I love and is 100% traditional - they offer pickled radish (치킨무) as a side with the chicken (or coleslaw if you prefer). I also always order the Tteokbokki (떡볶이) and am always in love with it. They give you fish cakes, a little cheese on top, and two Gimmari (김 말이) added in. Just spicy enough, delicious sauce, perfectly pillowy and chewy rice cakes. We always order white rice to go with our meals and it's always perfectly cooked. If you Dine in- restaurant is always clean, ambiance is more modern and minimal, very cool! Staff is always very friendly, and it's located in a strip mall/plaza so there is plenty of parking! We love this place and come in a few times a month now.

Service is great here. The spicy sauce for the chicken has been inconsistent. The first time we ordered from this place the sauce tasted amazing but the last three times we’ve ordered have been very different each time. The latest order was the worst tasting one because it was more salty than sweet. I know Dak just opened but and I’m hoping this feedback helps improve their sauces stay consistent. I’m giving this place 4 stars because of their service. Edit: We ordered a few months later and the sauce is the same as we had ordered the first time! 5 stars!
